Get your Geek On

I pretty much freaked out last month when I found out my “Firewall” video was nominated for a Philadelphia Geek Award for Most Viral Project.

Even though I didn’t get to take home one of the incredible nextfab robots (congratulations to the Philadelphia Opera Company), it felt great to sit in the theater of the Academy of Natural Sciences and applaud all of the accomplished nominees and winners.

It’s events like the Philadelphia Geek Awards that remind me how lucky I am to get to live in Philadelphia and do what I love, surrounded by a loving and supportive community always willing to collaborate with me.

After the show, we went to the Four Seasons to act like adults. Naturally, it began to rain as soon as we stepped outside. We made a run for it and ended up at our destination wet and breathless.

Dress is BCBG, jewelry is vintage (compliments of my mom).

Diamond and topaz ring, with diamond, saphire, ruby, and aquamarine earrings kindly lent to me by my mother for the occasion.
